The Development of the Flash2Softbox System
flash2softbox: flash / 2 = to / Softbox
It all started when I was working on a low-budget shooting. Even back then I was seeking a solution that would bring system flash units and softboxes together.
When just for fun I took a system flash attachment and held it inside a 50x70 softbox, in order to gain a closer look at the lighting effect, I immediately realized I was really onto something.
The initial prototype was created using a vice and rubber hammer in my home workshop. The second version was already produced as a small series of 50 units by a metalworking company.
Because after some time it turned out that different sizes of adapters were necessary, I once again modified the production, and the flash2softbox adapter in today's modular form was created with the option of using flash units of various heights and even attaching a handle.
